Haj Committee of India is most likely to announce the date for Haj Application Submission process for year 2013 in February, 2013. HCOI has decided to follow some new norms strictly for year 2013. They are as following:
- Only International Passport Holders ( with Validity at least up to 31st March, 2014 ) can apply for Haj 2013
- Attaching a cope of CANCELLED cheque having IFS Code is made compulsory from Haj 2013 onwards.It is to ensure speedy disposal of refunds.
Most of the time it has been found that after applying for Haj Applications, pilgrims apply for International Passport.So HCOI has asked all the concerned authority to educate the masses to overcome this tendency and be ready with their passports.
Applicants should also open an Account with Bank having IFS code for attaching the CANCELLED Cheque. Those who are having the passport , should see the validity of their passport and get it renewed at least up to 31st March, 2014. Interested pilgrims for HAJ 2013 should also ensure that their Passport contains at-least two empty visa pages adjacent to each other.
HCOI has asked all the State Haj Committees and UTHCs to open special counters to assist and guide the pilgrims who are interested to go for Haj 2013 and also co-ordinate with Regional Passport Officers on this matter. For any updates visit the website of HCOI – http://hajcommittee.com/

As per the HCOI Circular for Haj Pilgrimage 2013 , no one can now go to Haj through HCOI if he or she already have performed Haj.
