Kerala Haj Flight 2018 From 1st Aug
Haj Committee of India has announced the first Haj flight of this season for Kerala State. The flight would be carrying pilgirms from Kerala, Lakshadweep and Mahe will leave for Jeddah on 1st August 2018.
The first flight would take off from Nedumbassery airport in Kochi at 5.35am. There would be total of 29 flight services. Each flight would be carrying 410 pilgrims each. The last flight service will leave Nedumbassery on 15th August 2018.
The return journey from Madina airport will begin on 12th September and the final flight of return journey will leave Madina on 25th September 25.
This year about 11100 pilgrims are going for Haj from Kerala State. Considering the increase in number of Haj pilgrims from state , the state Haj committee has made the enhanced arrangement and facilities in the haj camp at Nedumbassery airport.
HCOI allotted 10,981 Haj quota to the state as per the Muslim population. Besides, it received additional Haj seats of 3423 seats which remained vacant in other states. There are 1270 pilgrims who have crossed seventy years of age .
Kerala is also sending 1121 women applicants who undertake journey without assistance of male Mehram, have already been directly selected for the pilgrimage. The qurrah took place for the remaining 8587 seats.
Kerala State Haj Committee in a recent held meeting had demanded the HCoI to allot 3000 more seats to resolve the problem of waiting list of applicants.
